In Phantasy Star Online 2, there are many non-playable characters (NPC) who can be of some assistance. Some of them are required to play the game, such as the Quest Counter ladies, some unlock new areas, such as Koffie, and others will just join your party or hand out experience and Meseta for doing Client Orders.
